As the Business Intelligence Analyst, you will lead and provide oversight in gathering complex and often unique business requirements by defining the business problem and data requirements.

The Business Intelligence Analyst will be a commercial credit specialist within the Note Finance Warehouse Team. The analyst will analyze complex business problems and issues using data from internal and external sources to provide insight to decision makers. The analyst will identify and interpret trends and patterns in datasets to locate influences.

Overview

As the Business Intelligence Analyst you will lead and provide oversight in gathering complex and often unique business requirements by defining the business problem and data requirements.

Focus

Such work shall include creating specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required or available data elements. May provide consultation to users and lead cross functional teams to address business issues and prototyping solutions for displaying information based on business needs.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Partners with the business to ensure effective design of decision support solutions.

  • Creates concise, timely and easily understandable visualizations to support business initiatives, internal and external examination requests, and presentations.

  • Produces accurate, detailed and sometimes voluminous reports of performance statistics within the constraints of reporting deadlines.

  • Be the point of contact to internal customers for report development and support.

  • Effectively apply high level technical expertise and software knowledge to address complex business and financial projects.

  • A strategic partner with IT to influence the design, alignment, and implementation of technical standards to address appropriate business solutions.

Business Intelligence Analyst

A full-service business banking as well as specialized finance and banking units that serve businesses across the United States.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or related field.

  • 3-5 years’ experience in the Banking of Financial Services industry

  • 3-5 years’ experience working with the Tableau platform

  • 5+ years’ relevant work experience with data warehousing, business intelligence, report development, metadata, and dashboards.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL, relational databases, data warehousing concepts (full/incremental data loads) and data modeling (star schemas- facts/dimensions/views etc.) is critical
