The DevOps team is nimble and looking for a colleague with a broad mix of skill sets regarding Infrastructure management, automation, production engineering, and supporting development teams in creating strong release and deployment pipelines.

The team offers a great mix of craftsmanship (i.e., solving problems in rigorous ways) and creativity (i.e., exploring interesting problems with R&D, prototypes, etc.).

Overview

As the DevOps Engineer you stay very close to the software development and help with designing and troubleshooting our many integrations such as data pipeline integrations with third-party applications (payment gateway, analytics providers, content providers, Point of Sales systems)
You are not only a contributor, but also likely to shape and lead the overall DevOps and release strategy.

Focus

Experience understanding the many risks and complexities around running and deploying microservices, load testing, managing databases, security monitoring, operational monitoring, and alerting.

Daily Responsibilities

As the DevOps Engineer your strong knowledge and hands-on experience with deployment pipelines, CI/CD, and tools like Github, Jenkins, and CircleCI will be displayed.

  • Experience setting up operational processes to support application deployments, monitoring, and alerting.

  • Scripting experience in languages to automate tasks

  • The ideal candidate has experience in building infrastructure for scalable multi-tier cloud-based applications with frequent releases (and rollbacks), and with detailed monitoring and alerting.

DevOps Engineer

They are building the next generation SaaS platform for grocery retailers and help grocers embrace state-of-the-art technology to create first-class online experiences for their customers and increase efficiency within their warehouse operation.

  • Experience with docker based deployments. Create docker containers and troubleshoot them.

  • Experience with AWS or Azure. Ideally both… however, more future in Azure for us.

  • Strong networking, Linux administration, and database management skills. Keeping their infrastructure tight and clean is very important.

  • Ability to set up a disaster recovery strategy and identify needs for backups, extra resilience, or failover within our infrastructure.

Good to Have! 

• Background in software development (e.g., Nodejs and/or .NET) is a plus

• Experience with RESTful API integrations and developing express applications

• Experience with Terraform

• Experience with setting up API gateways
